Headcase Concussion Awareness Training. Open Access version (e.g. for parents, school children)

This course is for those individuals who DO NOT have an RFU login or ID and/or DO NOT require the course to be recognised on their personal RFU GMS profile and/or as a pre requisite for participating in England Rugby training courses for coaches, match officials and volunteers.

In the course you will learn what concussion is, how it looks, and how it feels. You will see how you can prevent it; look at best practice concussion management and why it is important to that this is followed.

By the end of the course you will have a better understanding of concussion, the obstacles to delivering best practice management, and how YOU have a vital role to play in protecting player welfare.

Although developed for rugby, the information can be applied to concussions occurring in any sport and non-sporting environment. This module complies with NHS Guidelines, the Sport & Recreation Alliance National Concussion Guidelines for the Education Sector, the 5th International Concussion in Sport Consensus Statement, and World Rugby Guidelines.
